Counseling Sessions
I offer private one-on-one counseling sessions by telephone (or Skype) for anyone in the United States or around the world.
I began studying A Course in Miracles in my early 20s, and have spent much of the past two decades helping fellow Course students with their process. My close relationship with Ken Wapnick profoundly informs my personal process as well as my private counseling. I consider him both my spiritual teacher and counseling mentor.
Two ideas from the Course that are central to my approach to counseling are:
“A therapist does not heal; he lets healing be” (T-9.V.8:1).
and,
“The Holy Spirit is the only Therapist. He makes healing clear in any situation in which He is the Guide. You can only let Him fulfill His function” (T-9.V.8:4-6).
My emphasis is on practicality. The principles of A Course in Miracles are nothing if they are not integrated into our day-to-day lives and relationships, and this is done best through gently looking at those places and relationships in our lives where fear has blocked our awareness of love. Counseling is a relationship wherein we can safely begin to touch these places of fear with acceptance and forgiveness.
This is not an easy path, and is a lifelong dedication, but with a willingness to see our entire world differently, peace can slowly become our everyday experience to be counted on in all circumstances.
Fee: $50 per hour, and pro rata if a session is shorter or longer than an hour. (Two hour maximum.)
For those who like frequent quick check-ins, I also do 15 or 30 minute weekly sessions for $15/$30.
