Background
I was born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada, and began studying A Course in Miracles in 1992 at age 23. I immediately recognized it was the spiritual path I’d been searching for, and have been working on the lifelong process of integrating its teachings ever since.
After a Bachelor of Arts degree (English major), I worked for a magazine as a writer/editor, but it wasn’t until I moved to Perth, Australia, in 1998 that I began counseling. I have been helping people one-on-one with the Course ever since, and in recent years with Ken Wapnick as my mentor.
After moving to the USA I began teaching ACIM classes in 2005, and while I’m not presently teaching, there are 75+ classes archived on this site.
Around the same time in 2005 I created what I’d initially planned to be an anonymous ACIM blog: acimmonk.com. I later migrated most of the postings to this site (The Remembered Song).
When I began attending classes at the Foundation for A Course in Miracles in 2006 I realized Ken Wapnick was my spiritual teacher. Since then his influence on my life has grown to the point where I consider him more than just a spiritual mentor; he is my spiritual father, like he is for so many of us. The depth of my gratitude is inexpressible. I continue to practice the Course and the work of undoing my ego with his inestimable help.
